Terms of Service

shortpix (operated by Kinolab, LLC, "we", "us") is a subscription service that turns a source link you provide into an original animated 9:16 video: script, voiceover, images, animation, captions and music, generated automatically. By creating an account or purchasing a plan you agree to these terms.

You need an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your credentials safe. One person per account; sharing an account across a team requires a plan per active user.

Subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. Each billing period grants a set number of videos, determined by your plan and shown before you subscribe. Unused videos do not roll over: the allowance resets when the period renews.

Premium credits are a separate, optional balance spent on premium animation options such as animated hooks, at the credit price shown before you confirm. Premium credits do not add videos to your plan allowance and do not expire. Credit packs are one-time purchases and require an active subscription to be used.

A video is consumed the moment its generation run starts. If a video fails to complete because of a technical error on our side, the video credit is returned to your account automatically; if anything looks off, contact support and we will make it right.

You can cancel anytime from the billing portal. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access and your remaining videos until the end of the paid period, and premium credits stay on your account.

All sales are final: we do not refund subscriptions or credit packs, whether used or unused, except where a refund is required by law. By paying you ask us to make the service available right away. The full policy, which is part of these terms, is on the refund policy page.

If a video fails or is defective because of a technical error on our side, contact support: we fix it, or compensate you with service credits or extended access, at our discretion. If you are unhappy for any other reason, contact support: we answer within 24 hours and will find a fair outcome. Goodwill refunds may be granted at our sole discretion; accounts refunded this way may be closed to prevent abuse.

You keep all rights to the videos shortpix generates for you, and you can publish and monetize them on any platform. You are responsible for the source links you submit: only use sources you are allowed to use, and do not submit unlawful, hateful or sexually explicit material. shortpix retells stories as original animation; it does not copy source footage.

We may use anonymized, non-identifying examples of generated output to improve the product. We will only showcase your videos publicly with your permission.

A video is delivered when it is available to preview and download in your dashboard. Downloading a video is acceptance of delivery. If a delivered video has a defect, contact us and we will remedy it (see the refund policy).

Do not abuse the service: no attempts to bypass credit accounting, no automated account creation, no reselling of raw API access, no generating content that is illegal, defamatory, or that sexualizes minors (zero tolerance; such accounts are terminated immediately). We may suspend accounts that abuse the refund policy or initiate fraudulent chargebacks.

Generated projects stay available in your dashboard while your subscription is active. After a subscription ends we keep your projects for at least 90 days, then we may delete them. Download your videos to keep permanent copies.

The service is provided "as is". Generation uses third-party AI models; outputs can occasionally vary, and our remedy is the support process described above. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for how platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram) treat content you publish.

We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email or in the app, and continued use after the effective date is acceptance. Questions or disputes: write to contact@shortpix.on.crisp.email first, we answer billing questions within 24 hours.
